Sixteen Careena I battle the urge to call Duke. I’m concerned about Alice. The fear in her eyes was no joke. She would have fainted if I hadn’t been holding her. Something is horribly wrong. And I think it has to do with the mysterious figure she saw outside the shop. I’m toying with the idea of closing the studio early when someone knocks on the door. I have my ears preened to the music school in case Duke comes back or a customer shows up. My fingers tighten on my cellphone.
