It was a long road trip back to our home pack. My speed demons were all scrunched up in one van and I refused to ride with Isaac so that I could ride with them.
We were all quiet. Mourning our mission and loss of two of our pack members again. We missed April and Asher more than we thought we would. I would, of course, visit more now that she is expecting. I can't have my own niece or nephew not knowing who I am. Lacey sat next to me, her head was against my shoulder. Isaac's car followed suit behind us.
