Rowan was being released from the hospital today, and my stomach churned at the thought.
I’d been keeping my distance, claiming that I had to get the house cleaned and repaired for his arrival, which pacified both his parents and him.
I had done what I said, but from a distance. I continued to live with Azure and Finn, but even they had become busy and distant. The three of us worked around one another the past few days, and I was feeling a bit needy.
