I realized a few things on the drive back to my home with Rowan.
I hated my husband. That love I thought was still an ember this morning; It was simply a coal, black, and burning without an ounce of light.
That pushed me into realizing that I wasn’t just falling in love. No… I’d run full speed, jumping off a cliff headfirst into the awaiting waters below. Waters that wrapped their arms around me, made me feel safe, warm; Loved.
It didn’t matter how many unknowns there were because I knew between Az and Finn; It would all be okay.
“We should take a road trip soon,” Azure squeezed my hand. He hadn’t let go since we began driving… not that I’m complaining. “I’m thinking somewhere we can unwind. I haven’t been on a personal trip… ever.”
