Rowan’s anger-filled eyes followed Azure’s back until he disappeared into the venue.
“Why are you out here alone with him?” Rowan snarled, glaring at me.
“I came out here for fresh air, and he found me to let me know that we would be leaving in five minutes.”
I tried to sound as stoic as possible, as if I was unbothered by everything, but I’m not certain it was convincing. Between the shock of being bid on by Azure at all and Rowan’s reaction, despite being a cheating bastard, was throwing my mind for a loop.
