Erin's POV
I stepped out of the room with trembling hands. My heart was still beating erratically from what had just transpired between Azure and me.
The darker parts of me wanted to just give in. Rowan was a cheater, and I never would have found myself in Azure’s arms had he remained faithful. But that tiny voice in my head kept screaming that I was just as guilty. My marriage wasn’t over, and falling for Azure before things were finalized was dangerous.
“Ready for a show?” he winked, and I nodded, unable to formulate words. My mouth felt dry, as though I’d swallowed an entire bag of sand without water.
I wanted to apologize for pushing him away, but what the hell was I supposed to say?
I’m sorry, I can’t seem to let go of the marriage vows my husband so easily took a s**t on.
