Cobie holds onto Erik tighter than ever, loud sobs raking his body as he did. Erik's hair was mate's with blood and there was dried blood on his nose and lips, even around his ears. Erik was dead. Gone. Cobie was never going to hear him laugh, or see his brown eyes, nor will he ever hear Erik's voice again. His mate has been taken away from him.
