Whats wrong with me!

My eyes burst open, and I quickly squinted, attempting to shield my sensitive vision from the blinding ceiling light that flooded the room. I blinked repeatedly, the world slowly coming into focus as I tried to adjust my eyes to the brightness and the familiar surroundings that greeted me. Confusion washed over me as I realized I was sprawled on the floor, my body aching in protest, a stark contrast to my last memory of cozying up on the couch, engrossed in the adventures of "One Piece" on Netflix. Glancing around the room, I noticed the TV was now silent, its screen displaying the familiar "Are you still there?" menu. With a groan, I attempted to stand up, my limbs feeling oddly unfamiliar, making me unsteady and wobbly as I got onto all fours. It was then that I sensed a significant difference in my height, even in this peculiar position. My curiosity piqued, I turned my head and caught a glimpse of the mirror, where I saw a bushy tail, its fur a vivid blend of fiery red at the top and pure white at the bottom, waving gracefully in the air. Intrigued yet bewildered, I cautiously crept toward the mirror, my footsteps tentative and unsure. My reflection came into full view, and I was frozen in shock and awe. There, staring back at me from the mirror, stood a magnificent creature. It resembled a wolf, but it was unlike any wolf I had ever seen. Its fur was a breathtaking combination of vibrant red and pristine white, reminiscent of a majestic husky. Its eyes, a mesmerizing blend of piercing yellow with subtle green hues, bore an uncanny resemblance to my own gaze. I stood there, a mix of confusion and fascination coursing through me, trying to make sense of this surreal sight before me. Questions swirled in my mind, but instead of fear, I felt an inexplicable sense of connection and intrigue. As I gazed at my reflection, I was suddenly enveloped in a voice that resonated with an otherworldly grace, echoing in the room as if standing right beside me. "Hello, Rosie. It's finally nice to meet you. I am Ruby, your wolf. Happy Birthday!" the voice purred, its timbre carrying an aura of wisdom and mystery. My eyes widened in astonishment, my tail wagging involuntarily as I stared back at my reflection in the mirror. Overwhelmed by the encounter, I leaped back onto my bed, the force of my movement sending objects flying, my mind racing with amazement and disbelief at the extraordinary revelation before me. In my frantic attempt to comprehend the sudden transformation, I scrambled onto the bed, only for my foot to catch on the corner, sending me tumbling off in a whirl of confusion. I landed with an awkward thud on my back, a scream escaping my throat, but to my shock, it emerged as a dog's yelp. Panic surged through me as I stared at my hands, now transformed into paws. My mind reeled with the surreal reality of the situation, and I thrashed around in a desperate frenzy, knocking objects in my room helter-skelter, hoping to regain control over my bewildering body. Suddenly, control was wrenched away from me, leaving me frozen in place. It felt as though I had been thrust into someone else's mind, a sensation both eerie and disorienting. Amidst the chaos in my head, a soothing voice broke through, gently piercing the confusion. "Calm down, Rosie. It's okay," Ruby said, her tone soft and reassuring, trying to anchor my spiraling emotions. Desperation and confusion gripped me, and I blurted out a string of questions, my words tumbling out in a jumbled mess. Ruby intervened, her voice cutting through my panicked rambling. "Shhh, shhhh. All your questions will be answered in time. Now, let's go for a run. I am finally free after being cooped up for so long," she said, her words hanging in the air, laden with a strange mix of excitement and determination. Ruby's attention shifted to the window beside my bedroom, and before I could comprehend her intention, she thrust herself out of it, shattering the glass in the process. No matter how hard I struggled, I couldn't regain control of my body. "Rosie, stop fighting me. Tonight is my time," Ruby said, her voice tinged with annoyance, compelling me to surrender to the inexplicable circumstances. Feeling utterly powerless, I reluctantly decided to sit back and go along for the ride, my mind racing with confusion and fear. Helplessly, I watched as Ruby led us away, darting through the shattered window and into the night. The distant glow of city lights began to fade as we raced deeper into the mountains, swallowed by the enveloping darkness. The surreal turn my life had taken left me both awestruck and terrified, my heart pounding in my chest as I embarked on an unimaginable journey into the unknown.
