Several servants ran over to the car that Matthew was driving. They hurriedly opened the car door and checked Matthew's condition. There were bloodstains on his shoulder and right arm. His suit was torn and torn but did not cause severe injuries.
While the maids were busy serving Matthew, Nina and Ellenrie were amazed by the grandeur of the house they went to. The place is right in the middle of the forest, and after four hours of travelling, they finally arrived there. Nina and Ellenrie thought the house Matthew meant was just an ordinary house. However, the place they came to was far more deserving of being called a manor than a house.
"What the hell place is this ...?" Nina was amazed by the view of the magnificent house decorated with elegant lights.
The house consists of three floors with
expansive balconies on the right and left, there is even a swing and a small garden visible from below. The manor also looks sturdy, with large pillars that support every corner. It seems like a classical building but also has a modern touch.
"El, is he a billionaire?" Nina whispered, asking Ellenrie about that man's identity.
"No. I don't know him; I do not remember...." Ellenrie shook her head as she continued observing the magnificent manor buildings.
Apart from the large pillars and balcony containing a small garden that looks beautiful, below, there is also a vast courtyard, even the distance between the gate they passed through and reached.
"Lady Isabelle has been waiting for you, my lord." Said the servant wearing a tuxedo, complete with white gloves he was wearing,
His appearance was slightly different from the other servant, that old man looked more like a butler than a servant. His attitude was impeccable and far more dignified, even in front of the other servants.
Ellenrie saw the butler whisper in Matthew's ear. He didn't know what they were talking about until, finally, Matthew ordered the butler to do something else.
"Bring Ellenrie into the room and serve them well, call the doctor too to check their condition, if there are any wounds on their bodies." Matthew ruled like he was the master of the house in that manor.
"A—wait! Where are you going?" Ellenrie was curious. "And what is this place?"
"This is my house. You'd better be safe here."
Matthew soon left Nina and Ellenrie behind. As instructed by the butler, Matthew walked to a room at the end of the corridor, where there was a room with a closed two-meter-high wooden door.
Ignoring his untreated wounds, Matthew went straight to the person waiting for him in the room.
A woman was sitting on the edge of the closed window, the thin white curtains swaying in the wind. A beautiful woman with long black wavy hair smiled at Matthew, who had just arrived.
"My son …." she said as she closed the book she was reading, then stretched her arms, about to hug Matthew.
While running a little, Matthew approached his mother and hugged the beautiful woman who had bathed in the moonlight that night.
The black hair of the woman in her late fifties was shimmering under the moonlight, the breeze passing through the ventilation gap was playing with the strands, the face that Matthew missed so much after some time away from home to be able to find Ellenrie, but now, Matthew could vent his longing by hugging his mother.
"Mother, please forgive my tardiness," Matthew whispered.
"No, don't apologize; I'm very happy to see you get home safely." Lady Isabelle shook her head and brought her face closer to Matthew, looking closely at her son's handsome face and gently kissing his forehead. "You worked very hard to find Ellenrie, even though you didn't-"
Lady Isabelle's sentence was interrupted when she saw the blood on her palm that she had gotten on Matthew's shoulder that was shot earlier. Lady Isabelle was shocked and asked Matthew hysterically where her son got the wound. However, Matthew seemed not to care about the injury he got.
"Son, are you hurt? Who has done this? Who has hurt you, tell me! Tell me who's?!" Lady Isabelle started to get hysterical, but Matthew shook his head.
"No! Don’t worry, Mother, I'm fine." Matthew tried to reassure her to calm his hysterical mother.
"How can you be fine? Look at this wound? It's still bleeding!" Lady Isabelle looked alternately between the blood on her palm and the wound on Matthew's shoulder.
"No. I can treat this, there is something much more important than this wound of mine, mother." Matthew said again.
"What is it?"
"I found her."
"Huh?"
"Mother, I found her." Matthew repeated his words, ignoring Lady Isabelle's shock by showing his happiness. "I did it. Ellenrie was in Barybascyne. She was sitting there with a florist named Nina and I found her. I've brought her back to our house."
Lady Isabelle, still in shock, looked even more shaken. She couldn't believe what she heard about Ellenrie being alive and now being taken home by her son Matthew.
"I am right to believe Ellenrie is still alive and now, I have brought her home."
"Where? Where is she now?"
"I asked the servant to take Ellenrie to the room to see if there were any wounds on her body or not, because before I brought her home, we were attacked by some people."
"Attacked?"
Matthew nodded. "I believe that they were from another Pack that wanted Ellenrie but, I don't know if they were ordered by the Horage Pack or Libra."
"Libra, are you sure...?"
"Yes, Libra still wants Ellenrie and I'm sure they know that it's really Ellenrie," Matthew said with a fiery gaze.
Lady Isabelle could see that just from how her son spoke. Lady Isabelle knew her son was pleased with what he'd done because it didn't end in vain.
Lady Isabelle touched her son's face while smiling, a smile illuminated by the moonlight, looking very beautiful and charming, adding beauty to her already beautiful face.
"Let's treat the injury on your shoulder first, and then we'll see Ellenrie."
