SEVENTEEN THE DAY BEFORE The elevator carrying Frank Oliver to the firm’s anchor floor stopped that Sunday afternoon, and the doors opened to reveal Clint Raymond waiting. Clint looked just as surprised to see Frank as Frank was to see Clint. “What are you doing here?” Frank asked. No greeting or any of the usual social amenities, but just a demand for information.
