Phoenix walked through the corridors like he owned them. Guards appeared. He broke them. Effortlessly. No hesitation. No mercy.
A guard raised his rifle. Phoenix moved faster. Grabbed the barrel. Twisted. The metal bent like plastic. He took the gun and hit the guard with it. The man dropped unconscious.
"Jesus," Maya whispered. "He's as strong as the enhanced body."
"He shouldn't be," Jayce said. "That's the original body. No enhancements. No programming."
"The consciousness merge did something. Changed something." Maya was typing on her tablet as they walked. "I'm picking up unusual brain activity. The three consciousness patterns—they didn't just merge. They're amplifying each other. Synergy. He's stronger than the sum of his parts."
