When she arrived at her parents" house, Victoria honked her car to get her mother"s attention. Barely able to open the door to leave, she was nearly run over by the crazed dogs.
“I don"t know why I took them to live with me. They seem happier here, free and surrounded by children.” She said, seeing the white dust rise, behind the animals. Her mother came to meet her, smiling as she always did. Victoria hugged her, startling a little, of the longing and loneliness she felt away from her.
“And my dad, he"s not home?” She asked, after looking for him, with her eyes.
“He went with Marco´s father to visit an old sick friend. “Informed the mother, taking her daughter inside.
“Everything okay around here?” She wanted to know, even though she was always informed about her parents " lives.
