She?

My face is soaked with the tears, but the shock is all over my face to the last part she just said. ‘me an Alpha?’ I can’t breathe. Falling to my knees, my vision goes black. “Roxy please breath.” “I…I…. Can’t… Be...” and I pass out. *’Mark, I need you at the old packhouse!’ ‘I’m on the way Luna.’ Mark was the youngest of the pack when Kalvin passed away and still choose to stay with me to protect me, I raised him as my son even though he looks in his 40’s he is only 25. Soon my boy will be able to be his age and find his mate, hopefully. When he enters, he sees Roxy and kneels the look on his face I know his wolf has woken up. “Luna the Alpha really here?” “yes mark. She is here.” “She? Our Alpha is a She?” “yes. But she doesn’t understand this, and it was very stressful for her the reason she is passed out. please Mark carry her up stairs and lay her in a bed so she is not laying on the floor when she wakes up.” “yes momma.”  Gently picking her up I was hoping that just maybe he would feel a mate pull as he looks at her delicate face with softness in his eyes. “am I lucky enough to have a daughter-in-law along with our Alpha?” “no momma. Its… its something different. Like my wolf knows more to her then we do. I want to protect her but not as a mate or an Alpha. Like a sister. Does that make any since to you?” “hmm... no my boy. But I am gifted to her to guild her so maybe since you are like my son the is a connection as my son to her as a sister.” “maybe.” We walk up with Roxy in silence. Entering the house, we pick the closest room to the door I remember feeling lost and scarred when I first came here, waking up in this very same room. Only my mate was sitting in the chair holding my hand as I slept, so I know this poor child will need a lot of support. The way Mark lays her down you would have sworn she was made of glass. I watch her curl into a small ball, so I cover her. “She will have a lot of questions Mark. I know from our pain we felt men will take time for her to trust.” Looking up at me his sad eyes beg me. “my dear boy doesn’t look at me that way. Just give her time. Come let’s go make her something to eat.” We both turn to look one last time as she mumbles words. “I wonder what kind of food she likes?” “she looks as if she hasn’t eaten in weeks maybe a small meal will do her good for now. Mark call Mitchell to bring fresh fruit, that should do good for now until we know more about her likes.” “yes, Luna.” I know how he feels being here in this home and not really wanting to leave her side. Just being this close to the young lady, my wolf has woken up and by second that passes she grows stronger. ‘Thank you, mother, for bringing her to us!’ now its our job to help her and hope she will stay. ‘Shay I don’t understand what’s going on. How is it we are the pack Alpha?’ ‘Rox, I’m sorry I haven’t told you before. But its time you know your real truth.’
