They were a small pack of maybe 100 who was just starting to grow, when a neighboring pack found them killing the whole pack while the Beta John pushed them to the tree line telling him to get his family away. Not even 50miles away from Shawn’s fathers land they run for safety. Before John could finish the S.O.S. to their father the pack who attacked them was on him ripping his throat out mid-way into calling for help he falls to the ground taking his last breath he watches as they chase after his brother, his Alpha and Luna with their newborn daughter. ‘moon goddess please protect them.’   Shawn drops to his knees as he feels his brother’s death, “Shawn what happened?” “John is gone.” Mary lets out a cry and tears run down her mate’s face as he gains his strength to keep running. “where is my father pack for help.”  When he hears a howl from in front knowing their father felt the same pain of loss he felt and is coming to help. When he is hit from the side throwing him to the ground losing his grip on Mary as she rolls across the field taking the blunt of the roll to protect the 6-hour old infant. Shawn shifts as he sees his mate bleeding from her temple stand on her wobbly legs “RUN MARY!!” he turns to face the wolf who tackled him. Without thinking attacks. Mary takes one last look as her Mate is fighting two wolves and turns to run. Their child in her arms is crying, when she smacks into a hard chest. Knocking her on her butt. “well. Well. Well. What do we have here? A young Luna with a newborn pup.” Looking over me he sees my mate with the Alphas throat in his grip staring back at him frozen as if to warn him to leave his Luna alone. “seems you have my Alpha in a death grip, and I have your Luna I could easily kill before you reach us.” The child isn’t crying which worries Mary, but she has no way to check, in fear one wrong move could end their life faster. “you have one of two options here Alpha. One kill my Alpha and loose your family. Or two shift and we walk away.” As Shawn looks at what is in front of him with his family, he hears his father is getting closer. If only he could hold of a few more minutes. When the man before Mary, grabs her by her hair turning her to face him as her face is in shock and soaked with tears she doesn’t cry out as he hopes his mate would. “tick tock boy!” “kill that monster Shawn I love you!” “shut up b***h!” jerking her up with a shake. I tighten my grip as well making his Alpha cries out. he stops hurting Mary. “seems we are in a show down. Shift now or else!” he reaches down and rips the infant from Mary making her scream out. “no please!”  causing Shawn to shift immediately. “please leave our daughter alone.” The infant still isn’t making any noise which the young couple is really worried about. “take your Alpha and leave us, you have won.” “tsk.tsk.tsk. seems this child life is over before it began. Dropping the bundle to the ground.” Both Shawn and Mary shift in their place as they roared from their loss. Attacking the man who just killed their daughter. Before Mary could spin around, he claws her throat as she turned not even having a chance to guard herself like he knew what he had planned. When Shawn pounced to attack, he failed to remember the wolf he left laying on the ground as he was close to his mate the wolf behind him shifted and grabbed his neck, snapping it. Shawn falls to the ground, dead before he even hits the ground. Mary who is shifted back to her human form holding her throat picks up the bundle and knees her way to Shawn. Falling atop of his chest gurgling for air as she holds the broken baby closing her eyes. “grab that infant’s body that will be our escape.” They can hear the other pack getting closer, so they take off running back the way they came. The howl from Alpha Markus can be heard for miles as he finds his one son and mate. Once they felt like they were far enough away from a new battle they drop the body in the ditch near a creek. Alpha Markus sees that his newborn granddaughter is nowhere to be found so he sends out scouts to find her. We watch as the little infant they thought was dead lays there, her heartbeat is weak, but she lives.

The moon goddess is sobbing at this time. “she was meant to be a great leader one day.”  “I must save her then!” “Shay I cannot allow that. If no one finds her you both will die. And you won’t get to go back for another 1,000 years.” “send us help. I will give her enough strength until help comes. Please let me.” “ok Shay. Know this her path is to be Alpha but will not be easy now that they strayed off course. I love you my child go forth and save your human, ill be sending help. Just hold on and keep her little heart beating.” I bow my head close my eyes and leave the realm entering into the small infant immediately get to work on healing her broken bones, as soon as I finish, I feel warm hands picking us up. “what do you have there Mike?” “Janet it’s a pup, hurry lets get her to the infirmary. She is ice cold, and I can barely feel her pulse.” He removes his jacket wrapping the child up as his mate reaches out to hold her. “Roxy.” “what are you talking over there Mike?” “the child. Her name is Roxy.” “Roxy? I like that.”
