Chapter Three Four days later, Lorn settled into his seat for the two-hour suborbital flight to Margaret’s Land. Paranoia had been his hiking companion every step of the way to Abstraction Bay, where the first thing he’d done had been to exchange his SSIN uniform for civvies and buy a large suitcase in which to stash it, his weapons, and his ammo. He probably could have carried the weapons openly on the boat from Abstraction Bay, this being the frontier, and he could certainly carry them openly in Margaret’s Land, but he was equally certain he could not carry them onto the suborbital shuttle.
