Chapter 8

Anna changed into a short and a sports bra while waiting for her mom to arrive.

It took almost an hour before she came. She took her to one of the guest rooms and left her there.

She went to the kitchen to get something to eat when Sasha blocked her way.

“Couldn't handle the heat?”

Anna made an attempt to move away but Sasha obstructed her.

“Isn't that why you called your mom? Because you're still a baby?” She laughed.

Anna stepped back.

“No…My mom is here because she's afraid of what I will do to you.”

She casually said and walked to the freezer.

“ How did the contract even come about? It's not like you're that beautiful.”

Sasha walked around Anna scanning her.

“ You're short.” Sasha chipped in.

Anna dropped what she was holding and faced Sasha fully.

“ You should be bothered about pleasing Damon. You're not supposed to be doing this…but it seems you have no job.”

“ Go get one and stop moving around like a loser.”

Anna spat out, warmed her milk and walked away.

Sasha stared at Anna's retreating figure.

“ What does she feel like? Advising me?”

Anna went to her room, gulped her milk and laid on her bed.

“Why's everything irritating today? Tsk.”

She brought out her phone and got lost scrolling. Soon she fell asleep.

“Where the hell did you go?” a voice snapped.

“You decided to cheat on me, didn’t you?”

Anna frowned in her sleep.

“What are you talking about…?” she whispered faintly.

The figure stepped closer before she could fully react, lifted her chin—

—and kissed her.

Anna jolted awake from her sleep.

“Are you practicing voodoo, Damon?” She muttered.

“ What are you talking about?” Her mom asked.

Anna gripped her chest in shock.

“What are you doing here? How did you get in?”

“ Who's doing voodoo?” Her mom asked.

Anna shook her head.

“It's nothing.”

Her mom's gaze lingered longer than expected.

“Well get changed. Damon is in the sitting room.”

“What?” Anna yelled
