Anna sat down on the same sofa as Damon all to make their marriage look presentable.
His parents walked in with complaints about how Damon forgot about them after the court wedding.
Anna stared at Damon—He wasn't moved.
“Does he even blink?”
As they sat down, Anna noticed the lady that came with them.
Very stylish. Blonde haired with long legs. Her eyes were very captivating.
The lady stared at Anna and smiled a bit.
Anna smiled back—a forced one.
“Damon, it's time for you to get a presentable wife.”
“What am I then?” Anna murmured.
His parents stared at Anna for a while.
“You need someone that is suitable enough to carry our family name.”
Anna felt a lump form in her throat.
“Introduce yourself dear.” His mom spoke.
The lady smiled and got up.
“ I'm Sasha Miles. My dad is a surgeon. One of the best in America.
My mom is Asian, from Mongolia. I believe I am capable enough to bear the weight the name carries.”
She smiled again and sat down.
Anna stared at her intently.
“So, what's your say in this, Anna?”
Anna raised her head slowly and smiled. She felt so insulted irrespective of the fact that she was against the marriage in the first place.
“ Why are you calling me? You and your son should decide. You've already made it a point of duty to disrespect me.”
Sasha rolled her eyes and she saw it.
Anna got up from the sofa and went to her room. She slammed the door hard.
She took off the earrings, necklaces and hair pins. She zipped her dress down with her hands, went into the bathroom and wiped the make up from her face.
She was so angry that she didn't hear the knock on the door.
“Anna, open the door.” Damon called softly.
She sat on the bed ignoring him.
He continued knocking.
“Please…open the door.” He called out again softer than before.
Hearing his tone, she opened the door.
He heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing her. Then his eyes travelled down her body.
“Why did you take your clothes off?” He asked.
Anna rolled her eyes before speaking.
“I was pissed. If you want to yell, just go ahead.” She replied in a nonchalant manner.
“If it's because of what my mom said, don't take it to heart. I'm not interested in getting married again.” He smiled a little.
It didn't reach his eyes though.
He walked away and out the door.
“ Hmm. Who said I wasn't interested in getting married again?” Anna scoffed.
