Chapter ThirteenSummer turned into autumn which turned into winter. Kiera no longer feared her powers, although she was often still surprised by the strength of them. However, she felt that she was in control rather than the other way around, or at least she did most of the time. She certainly didn't cause any more unnatural disasters, and Mags removed the bucket of water she'd had to sit next to.
They cut down the tropical rainforest she'd created so as not to arouse suspicion amongst the neighbours (although, as Kiera pointed out, it wasn't the 17th century so people's first thought wasn't likely to be witchcraft; it was more probable they would offer her a job at Gardener's World).
