prologue

*Two years earlier*

"Thud!" A loud thud jolted me awake and I quickly sat up on the bed looking around to see what was going on but the room was too dark for wolfless me to see.

Not willing to take any chances, I quickly turned on the bedside lamp and a loud scream escaped my lips when I set my eyes on the figure that was standing right infront of me.

"Don't scream so loud!" the man who was non other than my best friend and alpha's son, Claudio, said placing his hand over my mouth muffling my screams.

I stopped screaming, and looked at him with wide open eyes while he gave me a sheepish smile removing his hand off my mouth.

"You scared me! Next time, don't just budge in, knock!" I scolded him my hand over my chest, breathing heavily.

"I'm sorry," he apologised getting into bed followed by kissing my cheek.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he made himself comfortable on the bed, laying his head on MY pillow.

"Sleeping next to you, what does it look like I'm doing?"

I rapidly blinked wondering why he wanted to sleep next to me, I mean we were friends, best friends who kissed of course but this was the first time he wanted to sleep next to me.

"I'm going to alpha camp tomorrow," he said with a sigh and I lay next to him, my eyes fixed on him,

"Is it necessary for you to go?" I asked while he pulled me closer to his chest, played with my hair but that only made me feel anxious and afraid of being abandoned.

Claudio was my only friend in this entire pack and him leaving meant that I would be lonely.

"Don't worry, mom is here and so is Mia and Christy, they won't abandoned you okay?"

"Promise?" I asked looking up at him

"I promise," he spoke lightly brushing his lips on mine, "I love you Angel, and I want you to be my first and only,"

"Your first what?" I asked but he didn't respond and instead just placed his lips on mine,

I responded to the kiss which started out slow but soon over heated and next thing I knew, he was lying on top of me, right between my legs.

"I promise to come back for you and only you," was the last thing I heard as sleep caught up to me.
