Becky later left the place for her boss. When she reached there all her colleague were all happy to see her especially Clara her friend.
"Becky" Clara called out as soon as she saw. She gave her a warm hug."Have missed you a lot,sorry for your loss I couldn't come because of my tour with some people "Clara said
" Is okay I understand very perfectly "Becky said with a warm smile on her face.Her other colleagues came to her and sympathized with her about the loss of her mother. She went to her boss's office to meet her.
" Good morning ma"Becky greeted
"Good morning my dear,how are you" She asked
"Am fine ma" Becky replied with a sigh
"Am so sorry about the loss of your mother" Her boss went on
"Is alright maybe it was for the best" Becky said between sobs.
"Oh no Becky is not time to cry,you can return for work next week. I shouldn't have sacked you from work because of that,I realized that anyone in your situation can make my mistake. it was so thoughtless of me" Her boss said
"Thank you so much ma" Becky thanked her with a lit up face.
"You're welcome my dear" Her boss said.
She later left her office. Her colleagues were all waiting for her outside to know what their boss told her. She later let them to know that it was all because of work. They were all happy for her because she will be returning for work.
"Andrew why are you sitting like that?" Nora asked Andrew
"Is nothing am okay" Andrew replied
"Don't you love me at all?I have been trying to be a good girlfriend to you. Why can't you tell me what has been bothering you since. Don't tell me that you still love Becky" Nora said
"No,no,no. Nora I won't have that thing you are telling me.
I love you so much. That's why I left Becky for you." Andrew assured Nora.
"Are you sure that it is not because of my father's shares in your company?" Nora asked nonchalantly
"Nora please, why are you questioning my love for you?. I love you even without your father's company" Andrew replied weakly.
"Okay come here" Nora said with a broad smile on her face. "Come and give me a hug" Nora said as she spread out her hands and Andrew came and hugged her back. He gave out a loud sigh as he did that. He still prefers Becky over Nora.
"Sir we got a call from our branch in China that the manager of the company beat up a guest" Richard's Secretary informed him as soon as he got to the office
"Why did he do that"? Richard asked angrily
" He claimed that the customer insulted him first "The secretary replied
" Even at that,it is not a good reason to beat a guest "Richard said angrily while hitting his hands on the table.
" I don't know what to say Sir "His secretary shivery said
" Oh damn it,what's the hell is going on with my life "Richard asked no one in particular
" So tell me what' does the guest want now from us"?Richard asked
"He sued the hotel and the manager for the sum of two million dollars" The secretary replied
"That can't happen. Book a flight for me. Am heading to China right away" Richard ordered
"Yes sir"The secretary said immediately and left his office to do what she was asked to do. Richard wasn't thinking straight anymore, he is pacing the floor of the office side by side. Suddenly he remembered that Becky is still at his place. He set out to go before his secretary entered the office.
" Sir I have booked the flight,your flight is 6:00pm this evening "his secretary announced
" No problem"Richard said "Am going home now to prepare for it.
Richard reached home,he saw only his cook.
" Where is Becky "He asked
" Who is Becky? Oh I remember that sweet girl?"The cook asked.Richard blushed a little when he heard"that sweet girl ".
" Yes where is she?"He asked again
"She left in the morning, she didn't allow me to cook for her" The cook replied
"But I asked her to wait for me" Richard said with pains in his eyes.
"I think it was because of the call she received, she left after answering a call" The cook said
"What kind of call will make her not to obey my order" Richard asked loudly
"I don't know sir,but you can call her. It seems like an urgent call" She replied
"I don't even have her number" Richard muttered.
He went inside the room and sat down on the bed,he can feel the presence of Becky inside the room. He is deeply hurt right now."Why can't we be together for once and talk like matured individuals"Richard soliquized to himself.
Later that same day in the evening,Becky was alone in the house when she heard a knock at the door. She went to the door to know who was at the door. Lo and behold it was Andrew at the door.
"Andrew what are you doing here" Becky asked in awe
"I came to see you" Andrew replied weakly
"See me,why?How?I mean how come"?
" Can you please let me in,I want us to talk "Andrew begged.
" No I can't risk that. You can say what you want to say over here "Becky said adamantly.
" Becky please for the sake of the love we have shared before let me in. We need to talk. I need to let you know what actually happened "Andrew begged again
""There is nothing to explain you can leave" Becky told him
"Becky please,am on my knees begging" Andrew begged kneeling down.Becky was touched, she later let him in.
"Say what you want to say and leave quietly" Becky told Andrew as soon as they entered the room.
"Becky am sorry for what I did,it wasn't my intention to cheat on you. It was Nora's idea. Also my company needs Nora right now I will break up with her after everything is been settled" Andrew said. There was moment of silence in the room.
"Can you hear yourself Andrew, can you hear yourself. Can you just hear what a full grown man is talking. Andrew common sense is not common" Becky snapped
"Becky please you are the one that I love, I can't imagine my life without you" Andrew said
"You better start imagining it now oo,I cannot come and kill myself for you. You dare cheat on me with my friend, my best friend at that. Forget it you're not wanted again by me" she said
"Becky pleas am sorry. Okay tell me what do you want me to do in order to prove my love for you" Andrew asked
"Just leave my house and the case is closed," Becky said with total finality
"Becky you're asking me to leave your house, me Andrew. Becky please rethink back"
"There is nothing to rethink just leave my house" Becky said with total finality. Andrew stood up shamelessly and went to the door as Becky followed her from behind. She opened the door for him and lo and behold. Nora is standing in front of the door. Becky quietly pushed Andrew out of the door and closed it leaving the duos outside.
"Nonsense" Becky yelled out in frustration.
