"who's calling?", I said while I picked up the phone.
"Hey, babe! Just checking in on you! Mother asked me if you wanted to come over for dinner.", Vanessa said. She's my girlfriend.
"Sure. I'm just cleaning up since Isabel came over after school."
"Okay! I'm waiting."
