Chapter 10
“Yes, the big guy has arrived!” Charles Greene shouted with pleasure and motioned toward a dark patch in the distant wall of stone, a low passage into the corridor beyond.
Kaine gasped and staggered back a step. His legs hit the edge of the couch and he dropped onto it. He looked a bit swoony to Charles, but he couldn’t blame the kid. Most people got a bit faint the first time they saw Andy.
Jove handled himself a little better, but Charles had expected he would. He was used to monsters by now, having been one himself for a few years. The boy tensed when Andy entered the chamber but didn’t lose control of his limbs.
Andy Crow ducked through the low passage into the huge main chamber, then straightened to his impressive eight feet. The woman in his arms slept serenely,
