RAIN
PL: Meet me at the parking lot.
The words stare back at me sending shock waves coursing through my body. The phone in hand thuds against the table, drawing Bella’s attention. Working on autopilot I immediately shut off my laptop, “Rain?” my friend Bella worriedly sounds from the other side of the table.
“Mm-hmm,” I mumble not trusting my voice. I barely catch what she says with the loud thuds sounding in my ears. Vanessa and Bella were with me the entire afternoon having followed me to the library after storming away while we were at the canteen.
“I’ve have to go Bella,” I say fast, “It’s urgent.”
