Riadh cursed himself for not explaining better when he’d been shot. He should have understood that Dale would be severely traumatized by the event. Gods…hours had passed and Dale was still covered in dried blood and in shock so bad he was barely functional. Riadh wrapped both arms around and held him. “I’m fine. You’re not.” He could have used some magic to clean Dale up but decided a more traditional method might be more comforting.
