END OF TRUST ( CHAPTER 7)
After that day, Rayhana had been reporting to me on how Uncle Jk was disturbing her to come for a date.
I didn't understand the whole thing. Despite the fact he knew she was my betrothed, he insisted on his evil thought.
To avoid causing family problems, I didn't let my parents know. I decided to keep quiet all at once and managed this problem. What mattered was Rayhana's loyalty to me.
After some days, Uncle J.K. started visiting us perpetually, buying us valuable items as gifts. This was very unusual, it was a foible from him.
At a point, he began to visit Rayhana's parents secretly. This was what I never understood at all. My uncle is trying to snatch my beloved from me. That was a story upside down.
I watched everything happen before me in silence. My parents also began to gradually know about this. But they weren't willing to challenge him badly.
One Friday evening, he came to pay Rayhana a visit. She was with me ,playing the game together when he came. His dad came out to call her inside. I wanted to enter but got debarred. In turmoil, I sat alone thinking about this whole thing.
For about an hour , I kept ruminating over this issue. Until Rayhana came out to meet me. Her face looked distorted.
"If anything gets worse, should we elope?" She inquired
" What is that? What happened?"
I grew curious.
She kept shuddering her head in confusion.
" Your uncle wants me."
" My uncle does what?"
"He has finally convinced my parents to lure me into marriage. Your uncle doesn't want us together. "
I sniggered for so long looking at her face while tears kept falling from my eyes.
" Did you say my uncle, Uncle Jk, for real?" I asked
"Yes ,uncle JK,"
I sniggered more and giggled in addition. Only Rayhana could testify to the level of my sadness. My eyes became red that my brain 🧠wasn't thinking straight at all.
" Promise me you won't do anything bad."
I immediately stopped my smile.
" I shouldn't do something bad? He knew I loved you. We were betrothed from childhood, and we had never separated for so long. Now, my own family wanted to break this tie? This is crazy. "
Rayhana began to cry. She rested her head on my shoulder for a while and kept shedding more tears.
I didn't know when I began to shed tears, too. I wasn't trained to be evil, something I had no idea of how to stop this man. He was a real devil.
Immediately as I saw him come outside, ready to depart , I took a rash decision that kept me in prison for 8 months.
