Chapter Seven

“Manik? Manik?” Nandini entered the meeting room wearing a beautiful saree.

Manik looked at her and smiled and asked her to stand near her. She smiled and stood near him.

“Heyy! What are you doing here?” Manik caressed her hairs while she smiled and showed him a small tiffinbox.

“You didn’t carry your tiffin today!” She said while he smiled and kissed her forehead “Thank You”

“Okay! I should go then!” She said and was about to go when he pulled her “But why? Let’s have dinner together!” He said and Nandink looked at others who too smiled, some faked a smile and some genuinely smiled.

There was Cabir who genuinely smiled along with Dhruv and Abhimanyu, his business partner. While there was only a girl who too was from Khurana Company, Soha Khurrana, the girl who likes Manik and loathe Nandini.

Nandini sat beside him and looked at the food, which Manik ordered for her. It was something continental and had no work of hands. She gulped her saliva just when Manik noticed her. He felt really bad and smiled at her. She smiled at him as he was all making her eat while she sighed and said at last “Enough baba!! My stomach is full” He giggled and went to his cabin to attend a small meeting and asked Nandini to stay there only.

Nandini was sitting in the meeting room when Soha said “So, you are Mrs. Manik Malhotra?” Nandini looked confused and said “I am really sorry but I cannot understand English!”

Soha made a *oh-so-disgusting* face and asked “So till which standard did you study?” Nandini smiled and answered “Class ten!”

Soha smirked and said “My goodness! Your husband is such a huge businessman and look at you! My goodness! You know nothing literally! I feel pity for Manik, to be honest” Soha made a pity face at Nandini who silently went out running crying all the way.

Manik came after a while and asked Cabir “Nandini?”

Cabir narrated the incident while Manik palmed his mouth and said “Shit..She must be crying..I need to go”

Saying so, he went fast to his house leaving a smiling Cabir.

Cabir “My friend is in love..For the first time...I can see love in his eyes..Nandini is something”
