-Alex’s POV-
We walked out of the Alpha’s study and began to take our leave. “Alex-” Jared started, but I cut him off. We weren’t far away enough yet, or we would risk someone spying on us for the Alpha.
I led him to the dungeons where Roxanne was being held. I opened the cell door for him and walked in after him. We wouldn’t risk eavesdropping from anyone here. What I didn’t expect was for Jared to land a solid punch to my jaw.
“Jared, what t-” I started to yell when I looked over and saw what he was angry about. He was pointing to Roxanne, who was bleeding and unconscious.
“I’m no saint Alex, but what the f**k is going on here?!” He screamed, still looking over at Roxanne.
