Shadows retreat, lost to longing. Longing for cool. Longing for night. Longong for rain. Sand whispers secrets. Each step is a quiet sigh. Rain dreams dissolve into burning dust as we walk through hard sand. Thirsty earth breaks beneath shoes into fractured tongues. We pray for rain. We pray for the end of sunlight. Shadows retreat, cloaked in sorrow. Waiting resonates in parched echoes. Heat nestles heavily at the fringe. Clouds linger, muted in thoughts of rain The promise of rain wavers.
