I found myself kneeling on my hands and knees on a cold stone floor. An echoing passage stretched before me, lined with heavy door after door. In the distance, I heard a woman’s voice crying, though I could not tell from where. Her frightened wails echoed down the endless hall in agonized despair. As I gained my senses, I realized it was Nova’s voice crying out to me. I leaped to my feet and lunged at the closest door, but it was bolted securely. I heard her desperate scream, “Sister, help! He wants my teeth—don’t leave me here alone!” It was then I noticed above each door a twisted face was carved in its keystone. Again, I tried another door, then another, but they, too, were firmly locked shut. There had to be a way inside—some key, some secret, some kind of shortcut.
