Ginger slept surprisingly well. But that calm didn’t last into the next day. Cam was up early, so she fed him and took him for a walk with Rocky, managing to get out before anyone else was awake. They’d pushed the therapy session to the afternoon to coincide with Cam’s nap.
Her boy had an early lunch just after eleven. She fed him in the kitchen and cleared out in time for the others to feed themselves. Avoiding eye contact with everyone was probably conspicuous. Just like her decision to take Cam out again. The others had to be thinking that something was wrong.
