The dying of the cars engine turned the whole premises completely quiet. They lived far from most of the residential areas and kept to themselves , avoiding any frequent visitor or intimate acquitances.
Their residence was truly impressive, tho . A huge midevial castle like structure , with vines growing on the stone walls. A breathtaking combination.
Cars parked around various spots in the house ,a number if you were told you wouldn't believe.
Victor was the first to exit the car , slamming his door even before anyone else could come out.
"For the last time, Vick, you're a four century old vampire , getting stung by a be would do you , simply no harm !" Chris said , coming out of the driver's seat.
"Well brother , I'd like to keep my chances......" Victor pauses for a slight moment, as if realizing he had forgotten something .
"Someone's here," Victor says skeptically, slightly flaring his nostrils to get a better scent.
"Who ?" Richard asks , arms crossed.
"I can't tell , it isn't a scent im familiar with," Victor explains, looking back at his brothers.
"Well then , shall we go find out ?" Anderson asks , already walking to the house.
"Wait , it could be someone of threat. We should probably alert Jeremiah first, " Victor suggests, stopping Anderson from acting rationally.
"A threat ?, were four enhanced vampires, with four hundred years of fighting experience. If anyone is to be threatened right now, it's definitely the i***t who broke into our home," Anderson protested , encouraging them to take immediate action.
"Andy's right , let's go remind that burglar why the Dmitri resident is off limits," Richard added, agreeing with Anderson.
They all look to Christopher, who's been quiet all the while. He was the eldest in the gathering. It was only right that he'd make the decision.
"Jeremiah would've wanted that we'd wait for him in a situation like this..." he started, and they all groaned , except for Victor, who nodded in agreement," but...." Christopher continued , we can't sit here and wait around for the i***t to get away," he finishes, and both Rich and Anderson nod in anticipation.
"Shall we ?" Anderson asked, agitated .
"You definitely shall." Christopher gave them his permission, and they all smile , except for Victor, who let out a short breath. Vick was a pacifist, and only fought when his life or that of his family's solely depended on it.
On getting to the front double , oak doors, they were closed, but when Anderson turned open the knob it was unlocked.
"Were hooome,"Anderson yelled into the house, singing a little bit.
Walking inside, the entrance was empty, and there weren't any signs of breaking an entry.
"C'mon, we won't bite....well . It depends, tho . Are you O positive ?" Rich added , looking around the house with an excited smile.
"Definitely not." their heads all turn to the spot we're the voice came from . A teenage boy dressed in a white turtle neck sweater , black pants, and a long leather coat sat at the mini bar , having a sip of red wine.
"What are you doing in our house ?" Christopher was the first to speak , voice his question with sterness .
"Come join me , this brand of wine doesn't taste as good when it's sat too long." The stranger continues his drinking, unbothred by the group of guys who he had broken into their home.
" it seems you fail to understand the gravity of trouble you've walked into," Richard informs the uninvited guest , who seemed to have been stroking at his nerves.
"Do I ?, must be the wine . It definitely hit something up here, " he replies with a laugh , taking another sip.
"Enough with the chit chat , let's snap his neck , and leave his body in the woods for a hungry coyote to find," Anderson suggests , glaring at their unwanted visitor.
"Please, I strongly advise that you leave before one of my brothers decides to make you," Victor pleads , feats of annoyance in his voice.
"Your brothers fascinating," He said the brothers with some emotion that couldn't be told.
"That's enough !" Anderson walked to the boy, fed up of waiting. He placed a hand on his shoulder aggresively, but before he could do anything , the boy sprung around in his metal stool .
Lifting his hands up, a flash of emerald green appeared in his eyes . He mumbled the words.
"Kineson !"
Anderson was sent flying across the room , crashing into a wooden table.
"Andy !" Victor yelled out , taken aback.
"A witch ?" Chris mumbled to himself, wide-eyed.
"Imbecile! "Rich was already out to get the witch
Moving at unusual speed , Rich got to the boy first, pinning him against the counter.
He wrapped his fingers around the witches neck, gritting his teeth.
The struggling witch picked up the glass of wine, smashing it against Richard's head . Even if it had no impact on Rich and it healed immediately, it still gave him an opening to attack.
The witch wrapped his legs around Richard's shoulders, managing to twist his way up to his back. Rich stood up in a desperate attempt to shake the boy off , but before he could , he felt cold fingertips on his forehead and the continuous whispering of voices .
"Domio te," they said .
Richard soon found himself crashing to the floor, dizzy and eyes closed. The boy gained his balance before Richard hit the floor . He stood in front of the last two standing, giving them an encouraging look.
"C'mon , don't be shy now..." Anderson came out of nowhere mid sentence , slamming the boy high against a wall .
"I'm not done yet, Dumbledore , " Anderson whispered, holding him against a wall.
His eyes were a dark red , veins surrounding his face. His fangs had already been projected , ready to dig into his enemies skin.
The boy choked , struggling for air , and all of a sudden, it just stopped...."Just kidding..."
"Ardeo !" He placed his hand on Anderson's wrist, and a sizzling sound was heard , with a bit of smoke escaping it.
Andy immediately released the witch , holding the spot where he was burnt, but before he could regain focus , he felt his body flying against the wall and sticking to it.
Victor rushed to Anderson's aid and was abruptly stopped by a table moving into his way and tripping him over.
Christopher was left in the middle of the living room , staring straight at the enemy who seemed to have effortlessly taken down his whole family. He wasn't shocked , he wasn't scared , he wasn't even angry. He was just curious.
Alex stood there across the room , staring back at Christopher with a little devious smile .
Without breaking eye contact with Chris, He lifted his hand towards Victor, who was approaching him from the side , stopping him inches away from his calculated attack. Victor groaned , struggling to move in the frozen spot he was invisibly chained to.
"Why ?" Christopher finally asked the intriguing question he was waiting to ask from the moment the fight had begun.
"You'll have to be more exact ?" The young witch asked with an interested look on his face.
"Why would you break into the home of a pair of vampires who you clearly have no business with ? You clearly have a motive. And I'd like to know what it is. " Christopher elaborated further , eager to hear what the following answer would be.
" Well, Christopher. It seems you're the only one smart enough to show affection to your long lost little brother, "the young man says , giving Christopher a bright smile.
"Alexander ?"The most shocking look ever appeared evident on his face.
"The pleasure is mine , brother,"
