Roxy felt tears scald her cheeks as she embraced her mother after all these years. She never wanted to leave her mother’s arms again, but the woman pulled back and Roxy met her weepy gaze.
“You’re so beautiful! My baby, all grown up.”
“I missed you, Mom.”
“I missed you, too. It’s been so very lonely without you, but I never gave up on finding you. I just wish your father were still alive to see what an amazing daughter he has.” She brushed a maternal hand over Roxy’s cheek, before asking, “How did you survive?”
With a shrug, Roxy asked, “How would you like to adopt some sons? Because, they’re the reason I survived. They took care of me and taught me how to defend myself. I’ll introduce you to Brett and Levi first. They’re aware of the situation and no longer in denial. You’
