Special Friends Zoe lifted a hand from under the covers and reached out until she could feel the soft blonde curls of her friend, who was sleeping soundly on the other side of the bed. The hair was the softest thing she had ever touched and always so very light that the static in her hand would cause it to cling to her fingers, or so she first thought. She now knew better. Zoe had always felt privileged in being allowed to touch it, and she was the only one who could do so. No special permission had ever been given.
