Chapter Nineteen Teddy's mouth watered as she sat at Ric's kitchen table. He had insisted they leave the library and head to his apartment. On the way, they stopped and picked up Chinese takeout. She wasn't crazy about Asian food, but her empty stomach made her willing to eat anything at this point. Ric grabbed a pair of white dinner plates from the cabinet then rummaged in a drawer and pulled out utensils. He distributed the dinnerware before opening the icebox to retrieve two colas. He sat down and opened the little cardboard boxes.
