I quickly stepped back.
My hair was still soaking wet, and I didn't even want to imagine how I looked standing in front of him like that.
Kai slowly moved his hand away from me and swallowed. Neither of us said anything. He just stood there, looking at me.
“Um…” I cleared my throat. “I was taking a bath when the maid came in, and she took my clothes.” He said nothing. “I was just looking for her so I could get them back.”
He finally gulped and cleared his throat before looking away from me.
For some reason, that made me feel strangely self-conscious.He scratched the back of his neck. “ I'll tell the maid to get something for you.”
I nodded. “Okay.”
