CANDICE. I woke up alone on the command center couch. Killian’s jacket was still draped over me, warm and smelling like him. I sat up, rubbed my face, and tried not to think about last night. The screens were still running. Outside, the sky was that dull grey before dawn. I folded his jacket, left it on the chair, and spotted the note. Check on Elaine.
