Roman returned to find Evelyn pacing the suite like a caged tiger. She whirled around the moment she heard the door open, her eyes blazing with frustration and determination. "We need to talk about this—right now!" she demanded. "Not here," Roman said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I'm taking you somewhere private." The thought of staying in this hotel room with him for another minute felt suffocating. "Fine," Evelyn agreed quickly. "But we're having this conversation tonight." She followed him out, expecting to be driven to her apartment. "Do you even know where I live?" she asked as they walked to his car. Roman didn't respond.
