The following morning, Valtor sat in the quiet room with Daniel, sunlight stretching in long golden shafts through the arched windows.
Valtor sipped his dark coffee, his eyes focused. “What about the message? Have you found out who sent it?”
Daniel tapped his tablet and brought up a traced line. “I tracked it. It came from a girl’s phone—Hera. She is a human with no knowledge of werewolves, she said the phone was stolen from her a few days back.”
Valtor's jaw clenched, thoughtful. “That’s convenient timing.”
“Exactly, looks like whoever sent it wanted to cover their tracks, but I have sent people everywhere to find the phone.”
