Aria's POV. I didn’t even realize I was shaking until Cassian’s hands were on my shoulders, steadying me. “Aria,” he said softly, voice low, almost a growl, “let’s get you inside. You’re freezing.” I tried to protest, but my voice caught in my throat. He didn’t argue...he just took my hand, firm and warm, and led me through the hall. My legs felt like lead, but when he tightened his grip on me, it was like he was holding not just my body, but all of the fear, the hurt, everything I hadn’t been able to say. The bathroom door shut behind us, and I finally let my knees give way. Cassian didn’t move away. Instead, he crouched slightly, bringing his face closer to mine. “Look at me,” he said, and I did, because I couldn’t stop myself. “You’re here. You’re safe. That’s all that matters.”
