Cassian's POV. Every second stretched longer than it had any right to. My chest felt like it was trying to escape my ribs. My hands gripped the wheel so hard I thought I’d crush it. “She’s alive,” I muttered to myself, even as panic clawed at me. “She’s alive.” I arrived at the abandoned warehouse, the place they had traced her to. My boys were already there, spread out, faces pale, the kind of pale that comes when you’ve seen something no one should. I ran before I even thought.
