One rainy night

530 Words
The evening came once again. It was a rainy night, with rain sounds everywhere, surrounding the atmosphere with warmth and raindrops. While looking outside the window, Jenny wanted to touch it with her long fingers, through the window. The night was coming quickly. She got a new message, from her friend, the was she was in love with. "You forgot your umbrella. Wanna come over and get it?" wrote Brian to her. "O.k. I will, but ah, wait... I can't because I'm working on something." replied Jenny. "What? Why are you doing this? Tell me, are you coming or not? I'm waiting for you." replied Brian surprised and shattered... She wanted to work and watch a movie, even if it was short, and listen to the music she likes, something old and fancy, something mysterious and beautiful. "Oh do you see me, when you're looking at my face? Do you feel what I'm feeling? Are you playing games? You're playing with my heart, my love... And I feel again, oh why, I feel again... Need the truth, because my life is drifting or falling apart I can't accept another man to be just like the rest... Close to me with his lips, but far away with his heart... Can you see me baby, can you feel my love? Don't you know I'm living for you, because my love is strong... Can you see my hurt, can you feel my pain? When you're not here, when you're not here by my side." In the background you could hear a song at the radio... Jenny was watching the movie "Maid in Manhattan", the movie they watched the day they met. She started remembering that beautiful spring day... They had choice to choose between two movies, one about a powerful woman who was the boss or another about a powerful man who fell in love with the maid. They were a little bit confused on what to pick. Jenny was more impressed about the one with the maid. Maybe she needed someone more powerful than her, to make her life better. He needed a strong and rich woman... probably... dreaming that those women are free and willing to take the time for someone like him... Maybe it was in her head only... some ideas that looked true but are not. That was only an illusion, because rich women don't even glance at poor guys, even if they dress up or are well spoken or pretend to be someone else that they're not. Rich women work all the time and want rich men to spend time with. "What are you doing, darling?" "I'm watching a movie. Come watch it with me." "O.k.. As long as it's not a war or crime movie...' "It's an adventure movie, my darling. With your favorite characters, that fight for the right cause." He held her hand and they held each other in their arms. Their warm bodies seemed like fire and water blending. She placed her head on his right shoulder, near his heart and put her left arm on his chest. She was waiting for his reaction to the movie, for his voice and his words. .
