She frowned uncertainly at Blake's admission. "So you're saying that you overheard your mom and dad talking privately about breaking up and moving to separate homes?" she questioned cautiously, feeling confused and curious about his revelation.
"Yes," he sighed sadly. "That's exactly what I heard. That's why I suspected something was amiss. I decided to stay with my sister in New York for awhile, which is why I didn't go back to Canada in the fall or winter, since I needed to earn extra money for college tuition."
