CHAPTER 32

1117 Words

I was tired of hiding, I yearned more than anything to go down to the town and see for myself how bad things had become since I left. Most of all, I wanted to see Bathel. Anna's question from earlier gnawed at my heart continually. Was this constant thinking about him proof that somewhere along the line I had gotten attached to him? Fallen in love with him? Again, I have been abandoned. Soon to be rejected. These crazy thoughts washed the sleep off my eyelids.
