“You boys look like you could use some coffee.” Drake didn’t bother to wait for an answer; he simply filled both men’s coffee mugs to the point where some spilled on the flimsy paper placemats that he’d been putting on the tables for years. Drake was an older man, former military, with thick, tattooed arms, a full beard, and dark eyes that stared down at the cops with a mixture of amusement and knowing. “Mike slept a little heavy is all,” Angel said.
