FADE IN:
IN. EVELYN’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
The room is quiet. A small lamp glows beside the bed.
Evelyn lies under her blanket, eyes half open, then slowly drifts off to sleep.
DREAM SEQUENCE – DARK FOREST
Evelyn is running through the same forest breathing hard, branches hitting her face.
The same fear, the same shadow chasing her.
She trips, falls, and the dark figure appears again, rising from the mist.
Its eyes glow faintly as it pulls out the knife.
EVELYN (in dream)
No… I don’t want to die again!
The blade comes down. She screams.
Then suddenly the forest goes quiet.
Through the thick darkness, she sees Emma, her sister, standing between the trees.
EVELYN (shaking voice)
Emma…?
Emma doesn’t answer. Her face is pale, her eyes sad. She slowly fades back into the dark, swallowed by the thick bushes.
EVELYN (crying)
No! Don’t go! Emma!
Evelyn runs after her, but the ground opens beneath her feet — the same dark hole — and she falls screaming.
CUT TO:
INT. EVELYN’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
Evelyn jolts awake, breathing fast, sweat on her forehead.
She looks around the dark room, heart pounding.
EVELYN (whispering)
It was… just a dream...
But then she notices her window —slightly open and a cold breeze blowing through.
A faint sound of whispers comes from outside.
She freezes.
FADE OUT.
