I was snuggled up on the sofa in front of a fire that was slowly dying. Robert had the staff build a fire in the newly repaired fireplace to go over the correct procedures, and to show them how to adjust the dampers so that the room would not fill with smoke and set off the fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
I was holding a mug of gourmet hot cocoa, courtesy of the kitchen staff. Overall I was feeling so thankful. I got to stay at a beautiful resort for free, eat delicious gourmet food every day, I had made an amazing new friends and I got to work beside really awesome people. My new boss was cool and down to earth and… I might be falling in love.
I wasn’t sure if that last one was really a blessing. But it was a new experience for me. Falling in love was part of the human experience.
