Way too big!
16th April, 1993; Salem Village
Amarantia sighed for what seemed like the hundred time today as she hurriedly cleaned the study room for Mr Mason and his guests.
Yep. You read right. Mason.
Now, you might be wondering what she was doing in their house, even though she disliked them? (Dislike. Hate is a strong word.)
Amarantia's friend, Carol Andrew, who was a caretaker for the Mason family, couldn't make it that day. And since Mr. Williams gave her a week off for her and her family to celebrate the twins’ birthday, Carol pleaded with Amarantia to help her take her shift, as she wanted to look after her injured mother.
Amarantia, begin who she was, agreed. Besides, the birthday party won't start until midnight.
She sighed again. She looked over her work and saw that everything was clean and perfect.
“Amarantia?” A voice called out and she turned to where it came from, and her eye settled on the form of Mrs Mason, who was standing by the door. “Are you done?”
“Yes ma'am.” Amarantia replied with a flat tone, her expression set in a look of detached apathy whilst still maintain a professional air.
“Good. Now get out.” Mrs Mason nodded her head at the door.
Damn. Rude much?
Amarantia just c****d an eyebrow at her, clearly not impressed. And the woman called herself an educated elite. Tch. Humans.
“Yes ma'am.”
Amarantia walked out of the room, Mrs Mason's eyes following after her. She went to the lush garden and sat down, staring at the flowers.
Amarantia thought about how her life has been going since her and Daemas Bonded. Even though they have some minor disagreements between themselves, they still loved each other and are perfect together. Cause hey! Not all relations were sweet and dandy.
Amarantia smiled, thinking about the news she will drop on her family at the party at the Williamses. Ohhh. She can just see her aloof husband fainting.
The nineteen year old chuckled under her breath at that imagery.
“Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?” A voice spoke up behind her.
Amarantia groaned internally, wishing that this day could end quickly. She turned and was met with the lustful stare of Luke.
“Yes. Yes you have. A hundred times actually.” Amarantia said dryly, her face impassive.
“You look even more dazzling with these beautiful flowers around you.” The man continued.
‘Argh, for the love of Magic.’ Amarantia groaned mentally again. “What do you want Luke?" She stood up and faced him, folding her arms under her bosom.
“What? Can't I appreciate my wife to be?”
Amarantia snorted. “Please, the day I become your wife is the day the dreaded apocalypse will happen. And with the way I see it, it's never going to happen.” She rolled her eyes.
Luke just smiled, not put off by her attitude. He started walking up to her and Amarantia took some steps back.
“Umm, what do you think you're doing?” Amarantia asked. Hr eyes were glaring hotly at the man, her body tensed up.
Luke kept advancing on her and finally managed to corner her. He raised his hands and placed them beside her face, blocking her.
“Luke, I'll politely ask you to excuse me.” Amarantia smiled sharply at him; her eyes closed and her tone sweet.
Luke ignored what she said and advance for a kiss. But he was cut short by a heavy punch landing on his stomach. He groaned and coughed, choking on air. He took some steps back, his hands on his stomach.
‘Damn! Is her fist made out of steel or what?’ He thought, groaning and going down on his knees.
Amarantia just stared down at him coldly, fists still clinched.
“I thought I told you to excuse me.” She said flatly, her eyes and facial expression devoid of any expression. “How many times will I have to reject you before you get it through your thick skull that I'm not interested in you, Luke? I don't like you, and I never will. Never in this world will I fall for you.”
Amarantia started walking away, leaving Luke on the ground, who was still clutching his stomach.
“It's that man, isn't it?! The blond haired bastard with the emotionless face! That worthless scum doesn't deserve you!!”
His words made her pause and she turned to him.
“And you do?” Amarantia c****d a brow at him. “Honestly, Luke, if I am to be honest, you mean nothing to me.” Her statement had the man going wide eyed. “You are just an unceasing pest which I can’t get rid of, and you serve as a relentless annoyance and irritation to my very existence. I wish you could have gotten a clue since day one, but we can’t get what we wish for I guess.”
“But-!”
“Daemas is everything I ever wanted.” Amarantia continued, cutting him off. “He's ten times better than you Luke. I have been blessed with him and nothing will make me leave him. Not even you.”
“You belong to me!! You f*****g belong to me, Amarantia!!!” He shouted, eyes enraged. “I saw you first and nothing and nobody will take you from me!”
“No. I do not. I only belong to myself and husband.” She said coolly.
“Hu- husband?!” Luke spluttered out.
“Daemas. If you haven’t heard, I got married last year.” She raised up her left hand and showed him Daemas’ wedding gift to her – an expensive gold ring with an emerald cut. “I’m officially off the board. For three months and some weeks now. So, please, cease your nuisance. It’s irritation.”
Amarantia levelled him with one impassive look of disgust before walking away.
“You belong to me Amarantia! You're mine! I will have you! No matter what!!” Luke kept shouting, but Amarantia paid no heed and kept on walking.
Man, deranged and crazy much?
It was a good thing her family and the Williams’ were leaving Salem Village come Friday, two days from now. They have already began sending their important stuffs to Daemas’ mansion in Japan through the portal Amarantia could make, making their leaving as silent as possible.
Why were they leaving, you ask? Well, because of the Jaegers that were now in the village.
Jaegers were human who hunted, captured, experiment on and kill her kind, as well as other Supernaturals. How they found the weapons to kill them, nobody knows; because it was hard to slay a Belakya, talk less a DAEMON. Legend has it that a Magkas and a Nymkas couple took a mortal in as their child. This couple were making weapons said to kill any Belakya. This couple mixed their magic and stored it in a huge Crystal Orb, making the weapons just by thinking about it.
