The chant

Chapter two

Karla quickly stands up and runs to her grandma, putting up her hands to her forehead, she bows respectfully and ask,

Grandma risha, may I help you something? But that only earns Karla a scolding as grandma risha retorts 

Maybe I should be the one helping you with something, why are you not getting ready for your coronation?

I was about getting ready grandma, Karla replied

Then make it fast and stop slacking off, grandma risha says and turns to leave but stops in her tracks as she remembers something 

Have you thought of who you will be choosing as your husband?

You promised to take care of it so don't disappoint me, 

Karla freaks out, oh my god, I can't believe I forgot that part

Grandma risha yells at her, go get busy!!! Karla smiles and bows once more.

Grandma risha scolds a lot but on the inside she's a big o'l softie, she raised me ever since I was a baby, with so much love and care but as I turned 18, she became hard on me, according to her, she is preparing me for future responsibilities .

Maybe I should have remained a kid but pass that, what do I do?

I haven't thought of who I will be picking as my husband, actually this is the down side of being the rahibe, I have to  choose a partner and after my coronation I will get married to him. How I wish I could change that, I want to rule my tribe but I don't want to get married yet. How can I tell this to grandma risha without getting blasted with her spell.

I should probably just get ready first, I'll deal with that a little bit later

Karla goes to her bath house which is a little bit at the end of her and grandma risha's home. A warm bath has already been prepared with scented rose petals in it, which gets Karla wondering who prepared a bath for her. No it can't be grandma risha , that old witch wouldn't pamper me like this 

Her questions are finally answered when she sees Elma and Josie walking towards her with a dress in hand and other things to perfectly adorn a person to look like a queen.

Elma, Josie! Karla called out and runs to her best friends. Elma, Josie and Karla has been child hood friends. Elma is the soft type who plays the role of an older sister to Karla and helps her practise spells while Josie is more of a warrior witch. We don't go to wars but that doesn't stop us from having warriors .

Elma, did you prepare a bath for me? Karla asked

Of course, grandma risha asked us to prepare you for your coronation , Elma replied

Karla smiles and says , I guess I'll be receiving the special treatment today but Josie cut off their lovey dovey conversation and says 

Yeah we are here to prepare you so get in the bath now!!

Karla frowns at Josie but smiles and hugs her telling her I love you too but Josie just wretles herself free.

Karla gets undressed and steps in to the bath and slowly lay down with Elma washing her body even after Karla insist she can do it herself.

Have you thought of a partner? Josie asked 

Elma looks at Karla excited for an answer but is disappointed when Karla sighs saying she doesn't want to get married.

Elma tells her, but its more of a duty to you now, so you have to make a choice

Karla turns to Elma and says, I don't know anything about love, I haven't loved before but now am supposed to get married, what should I do? I don't want to be with someone I don't love

Elma seems to think but Josie interrupts telling Karla to pick a friend instead 

Isn't it better to marry a friend than to marry someone you dont love?

Elma likes the idea but Karla ask which friend is she supposed to marry?

Elma thinks again and immediately blurts out, what about him? She ask pointing towards the small window in the bath house.

Both Karla and Josie turn their heads to see the prospective husband but Karla expression changes when she sees him.  She immediately turn to Elma and yells,  varo!!!
