The party was in full swing. Willa was late due to Jessica getting lost. She finally reached the gate of the estate and dropped her little sister off. "Now, don't forget to call me when you are ready to leave. We have to be home before five. Daddy will get up around that time to work out and he will check our rooms to see if we are in bed." Willa looked at her sister with a smirk. "And you know this because?" Jessica smiled. " Don't worry bean, just have a good time and don't drink too much." she responded as she drove away. Willa laughed as she waved to the guards at the gate. "Evening fellas." she chirped as she walked over to the front door. She walked inside and headed toward the stairs to Clarissa's room. There was a guard posted at the bottom of the stairs. Willa started to walk around him after saying hello, but his put out his hand to block her. "Sorry Ms. Willa; No one is allowed upstairs under the order of Ms. Clarissa. Everyone is to wait in the garden at the party for her entrance. "Even me?" asked Willa disappointed. "Everyone." he stated with a grim look on his face. Willa turned around and made her way to the backyard where the party is. She looked around at the other teenagers dancing to Levitating by Dua Lipa. The place was decorated in the pack colors of blue and gold with accents of silver. There was a large chair up on a stage over to the left overlooking the dance floor. Off to the right, tucked near the flowers was the bar with a bar tender performing tricks before pouring the drinks into the silver glasses. Wolves could drink a lot without getting drunk but Willa knew that would not apply to her and decided to only drink non-alcoholic drinks for the night. She went and ordered a shirley temple and stood off to the side to people (wolf) watch while listening to the music. There was a DJ catty corner to the stage spinning some nice tunes. Willa started bopping her head to a song that had a great bass beat. As she looked around she saw Peter and Samuel setting up some chairs near the stage for people to sit. On the opposite of the chairs was a large table piled high with presents. That reminded Willa to take the envelope out of her purse and place it with the gifts. She walked over to put her card on the table. She turned around to leave and walked straight into a large muscular chest. He smelled delicious! It was a woodsy, musky smell that tickled her nose. Willa took in a deep breath before looking up. She stared into the brown eyes of Samuel, Clarissa's brother. He reached out and grabbed her arms to steady her. "Sorry love, didn't mean to knock you down." Willa blushed and giggled. " You didn't, and it was my fault for not looking at where I was going." They stood there staring at each other before Sam cleared his throat. "Well, I need to move on and finish helping my brother set up. Hey, how come you are not upstairs with the other girls getting ready for her grand entrance?" Will frowned, " I am not part of the routine because I could not make all the rehearsals and I was not willing to wear a dress. I am not really a dress kind of gal." Sam looked her up and down with a smile on his face. "smart girl, and by the way, you look really good. At least to me you do." He said huskily. Before Willa could respond his friend came over to get his attention. "Sam, we need to move the table for the food closer to the bar. Peter said come help." He looked at Sam and Willa and noticed that Sam still had his arms around Willa unconsciously rubbing her arms. He smirked as he noticed Willa's shallow breathing and Sam had a pink tinge to his cheeks. "That is unless you are too busy." he remarked. Sam dropped his arms and snapped at his friend. "Cool it Tyler! Nothing is going on. I almost knocked her over and was just making sure she didn't fall." "Riiight" responded Tyler with a knowing look. Sam huffed as he stepped away from Willa and grabbed Tyler to walk over to his older brother. Willa giggled as she watched the two walk away. She started to imagine being held in Sam's arms as they made out under the tree. Willa shook her head and peered at her drink. I said no alcohol she thought to herself. She then stepped away to resume her people watching while listening to the DJ. He was really playing some nice jams. Willa appreciated all genre of music. She danced to everything from classical to country western. It really did not take much to get her on the dance floor but she was trying to stay in the back ground. After all, this was Clarissa's party and her time to shine.
After an hour of watching and munching on appetizers that were being passed around by the kitchen staff posing as waiters, the music came to an abrupt stop. The overhead lights dimmed and a spotlight shown on the door from the pack house. "I need everyone to get off the dance floor and make way for the princess of the hour! Please put your hands together and make some noise for the birthday girl Clarissa! Soon you heard the opening beats for the song Me too by Meghan Trainor. During the first stanza of the song Mindy sashayed in and started dong a sensual dip and sway of her hips. Willa glanced over at Peter and noticed his eyes were black with lust and his canines were starting to elongate. A few guys whistled and catcalled as she did her dance and you could hear the growl that came from Peter as he glared in their direction. Mindy was wearing a shimmery gold dress with spaghetti straps. she was dancing in a gold pair of stilettos. During the second stanza, Sidney glided out wearing the same dress in blue with matching stilettos and started doing a little twerk, then she spun her head around and twisted her hips. Finally Clarissa modeled walked onto the dance floor to the hook:
If I was you, I'd wanna be me too
I'd wanna be me too
I'd wanna be me too
As the song progressed to the third stanza, the three girls began their synchronized moves looking as sultry and sexy as possible while dancing. Peter shook his head and looked at Sam. They both laughed as they listened to the words of the song. Figures Clarissa would pick this one to enter her party on. It fit her perfectly. Sam looked over to Willa to see how she was reacting to not being included in the dance. He saw that she was mimicking the moves and smiling an encouraging smile as they completed the fancy footwork. He then realized that she was the one who taught the girls the dance. He rolled his eyes at the thought that his little sister had her teach them the dance and then excluded her from performing. Typical Clarissa. The girls ended the song with Clarissa sitting in the chair that was on the stage with the other two girls standing on either side. Everyone clapped as Alpha Michael walked onto the stage and grabbed the mike from the stand. " I want to thank everyone for coming out to help celebrate my baby sister's sweet sixteen celebration. Please, eat, drink and have a great time. Tonight is all about Clarissa." he looked over to her and smiled as he passed the mike. Clarissa preened as he looked out towards the crowd of people there to celebrate her. She was finally the center of attention as it should be. "Thank you for coming and please know, in leu of people walking up to me to wish me a happy birthday, there will be a camera man walking around to all to give their well wishes via video." She stated with a smile. A young she-wolf standing near Willa smirked and laughed. "Conceited much." she said lowly to her girlfriend and they rolled their eyes at the birthday girl. Willa frowned but did not say anything. She did not want to cause a scene by addressing the snickering girls and chalked it up to jealousy. It really was about Clarissa and tonight was the night for her to have all attention focused on her and no one else. Now if only she could tone it down the other 364 days of the year. Willa smiled to herself as she edged closer to the dance floor. She felt bad for her other two friends standing next to the birthday girl. They both had a look of longing on their face as they watched the dance floor fill with wolves grooving to the beats of the DJ. Well better them than me she muttered to herself as she finished her drink and started dancing to catchy song "Head and Heart" by Joel Corry.
