It's been a few weeks since Sam and Willa went on their date to the movies. They talk on the phone almost every night. Sam tries to come into town to see Willa once a week. At first she was nervous about her father and Clarissa finding out but Sidney convinced her to do what makes her happy and live in the moment. It's not that they were sneaking around; Willa was just tired of Carissa's drama. Sidney said Clarissa was asking all kinds of questions about that night and making snarky remarks to and about her. Sidney knew she was fishing and pretended to be oblivious. Clarissa even called Willa to complain about Sidney trying to date Sam. That was one awkward conversation. The two friends made up but was not as close as before. Willa was still the happy-go-lucky friend, but she stood up for herself more. Clarissa noticed that Willa was acting more like Sidney.
It was a nice hot summer day and Willa was hanging out in the pack house living room. She was cuddled up with Sam sharing a few kisses. They sprang apart when Clarissa came down the stairs and entered the room. She started to walk by when she noticed the burgundy hair. Wait, is that Willa draped over my brother? Clarissa thought. She came a little closer and noticed the pink tinged cheeks on Willa's face. Suddenly the light bulb went off in her head. "Oh hell no!" she yelled. Sam looked at her with a frown but Clarissa was focused on the nervous look on Willa's face. "What's your problem Rissa?" he asked but Clarissa ignored him and marched over to stand in front of Willa. "It was you the whole time! Here I thought Sidney was the slut but its you." she snarled in her face. Willa looked at Clarissa like she was slapped. "Slut? Why would you call me that? I'm not a slut." she said. Sam tried to interject but Clarissa just pushed him to the side. "Stay out of this Sam! This is between me and her!" she yelled while pointing to Willa. Clarissa whipped her head around. By the this time a few staff members overheard the yelling and was standing around watching. Some where shocked and sad that Clarissa was screaming at her friend who was so sweet and happy. Others were shocked but glad. They never liked the idea of humans interacting with their kind and disapproved of Willa having the freedom to come and go. Willa slowly started to get angry. She was sick of Clarissa acting like a spoiled brat and always having a hissy fit over the smallest thing. Willa looked around and saw the other wolves staring at her. "I thought you were my friend. I trusted you! You were just using me like all the others. I asked you not to use me and dump me for my brother. You promised!" screamed Clarissa. Now that she had an audience she really performed. She even started crying. Sam rolled his eyes. He noticed Alpha Michael and Luna Michelle walking down the stairs and his parents walking in from the library. "I am your friend Clarissa. We just made peace with each other. Why are you acting like this?" Willa was trying not to cry but between the murmuring and nasty looks from the wolves and the feeling that she was losing her friend, it was hard. "You are so stupid Willa! I told you it will never work with my brother. He is a wolf. You are human. What do you think is going to happen when his mate comes? You think he is going to stay with you? He will leave you faster than you can say his name. You are nothing but a filler until his true mate comes. You really want to jeopardize our friendship for a few months of attention from him? You can't even satisfy him! Wolves have higher s*x drives. He can have any she wolf he wants just because he is an Alpha! What can you-a silly virgin do for him! I can't believe you threw away our friendship for a few kisses and some attention!" she wailed. Willa could not say a word. She was stunned behind that outburst. She looked at Sam. He had such a guilty look on his face. He couldn't even face her! "Ok, that's enough Clarissa. Everyone back to your positions. The show is over." boomed Alpha Michael. He turned to Willa "I think its time you leave." Willa just nodded and walked quickly towards the door. Sam started to follow but Alpha Michael stopped him. "Don't" he commanded.
Willa dashed down the stairs and grabbed her bike that she rode over. She could barely see as she cried all the way back home. Twice she was almost hit by a car that she didn't see. Finally making it home, she threw her bike down and ran into the house. She ran past her startled parents and up the stairs to her room. She almost crashed into Jessica who was walking out of her room. "Hey! watch it." she cried as Willa ran into her room and slammed her door. Jessica heard the lock. She turned as her parents came up the stairs with worried looks. "What's going on?" asked Jessica bewildered. " I am not sure." said her mother as she tried the door knob to find it locked. " Willa honey, open the door." She could hear her daughter inside sobbing. "Please honey, open the door and tell us what is wrong." she pleaded. Alex was getting frustrated. He hated to see his children upset and the thought that someone outside of the family is the reason was getting him very angry. He marched over to pound on the door. "Willa open up right now and tell me who made you cry. If you don't open this door, I will break it down!" he yelled. Jessica just rolled her eyes. " Papi, you are making is worse. She will never open up if you threaten to kill. Here, how about you two go down stairs and let me talk to her. Once I find out, I will let you know ok?" she said as she steered her parents back down the stairs. Alex looked slightly relived that he did not have to go in to talk to Willa. He had a feeling it was boy trouble and since he was not suppose to know she even had a boy friend, he was not sure how to approach it. "Ok Jess, you fix it but if she is still crying then I am going to fix it my way." he said as he stomped down the stairs. Jessica looked at her mother. " I will take care of her and you take care of him." Her mother smiled. She was grateful to still have Jessica living at home. Plenty of times Jessica wanted to move out and get her own place but she managed to talk her out of it. After watching them leave, Jessica reached up to the top of the door frame and took down the spare key. Her parents probably forgot they put the key to each door up there for the times when the girls were little and accidently locked themselves in the room. After Alex had to replace three doors multiple times, mom suggested they do that. Jessica let herself into Willa's room and sat on her bed while her little sister took a shower. She could hear her crying and began to think up ways she could torture that boy and his family. She was almost positive this had something to do with him. After waiting ten minutes, Willa finally came out of the shower. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying. Jessica just looked at her little sister and stood up. She held out her arms. After briefly hesitating Willa ran over and slammed herself into her sister's arms and started crying all over again. Jessica just rubbed her back and made little soft cooing noises to try and calm her down. She was glad Willa took clothes into the bathroom with her to dress. This would have been very weird if the girl was still naked and wet from the shower. After a few minutes Willa calmed down enough for the two girls to sit on the bed. Jessica did not prompt her but waited patiently until Willa felt like talking. Soon Jessica's face was contorted in rage as she listened to what happened at the Miller's house. That b***h Clarissa was a real piece of work! If she wasn't so much older, she would hunt her down and kick her ass for what she said to Willa. Then Jessica's heart broke when she heard how Sam behaved. Now she understood why Willa was so hurt and angry. Especially after what took place during the movie. To be called a slut probably send her self esteem down the the basement level. Jessica just rocked and hugged her little sister. "Ok, now do you believe me when I say you need to cut her loose? She is no real friend and proved it today. As for Sam, I know you think is love but he is a jerk and you have to decide if you want to walk away. The fact that he did not deny what his sister said and didn't even have the balls to come to your defense tells you everything you need to know." Willa just looked at her sister. " I know, I mean, I get it ,but how am I suppose to just fall out of love?" Jessica just sighed. "Bean, I don't think you are in love with him. Just the idea of having a boyfriend. He was the first boy to really pay you some attention. Not to mention he is really cute." the two sister smiled at each other. " But there will be others. Now that you have had your first, the rest will be easier. Based on him being a jerk, now you know what you want in a relationship and what you won't tolerate. Just like riding a bike." Willa looked at her sister. "Like riding a bike? Are you sure?" she questioned. Jessica gave a lopsided grin. " Yup. trust me bean. I've rode a lot of bikes..." They continued to hug each other for a little while both lost in their own thoughts. Willa was counting her blessings for having such a wise older sister that she could trust to have her back and give her sound advice when she needs it and Jessica was trying to figure out how to inform her parents without her father blowing a gasket and hunting this boy down with his gun.
